How can one calculate the operating profit margin using the profit?

To start with operating profit for counting of operating profit margin means Net profit + Interest expenses + Tax expenses/Provisions. Now coming to the question, you can take net profit and add tax and interest amount in Net profit from profit and loss statement of any company and you will arrive at Operating profit. To get operating profit margin you have to divide the arrived figure(i.e. Operating profit) by total revenue (take total revenue from operations from the credit side of profit and loss statement). Here you go, you will get your answer for operating profit margin of any company from profit and loss statement.
