Well he will be reviewing whether the forecast is being met, whether the amounts shown are as expected or if there are variances from where and what caused them. He will be looking into the financial report as a gauge of whether the plans and targets are being achieved and what could be the potential obstacles or threats lurking in the horizon. BTW, just out of curiosity, are you a financial student or analyst? The question is more like probing into a top management psyche hence i was curious.
